The office represents the operational management of the association climatop. It works as a contact point for
Consumers: It informs consumers about the life-cycle assessment methods as well as the certified products.
Producers: It informs producers about the advantages and opportunities of the label. It facilitates the contact to independent agencies for life-cycle assessments as well as to other competitors and provides marketing assistance.
Moreover the office is responsible for a uniform market appearance and the communication of the contents and goals of climatop in the media and in the public. Thereby it aims at a pan-European integration of the label approach.
Also, quality control is an important element and a continuous process: Whenever required, the guidelines and instructions are refined. The contact to independent reviewing partners as well as to specialised advisors ensures the objectivity of the assessments.
